FOUNDER OF THE HORMONE CENTER
Lauren is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Northwestern University Medical School. She completed her Family Medicine Residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She spent 10 years practicing Family Medicine and served as a faculty member at UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program. She left UPMC in 2008 to start her own integrative and holistic medical practice, The Hormone Center. The mission of the practice is to combine traditional medicine with a more holistic method of treatment that strives to uncover the root cause of illness rather than just managing symptoms.
Sandy holds an MS in counseling psychology, a certificate in holistic nutrition, and has recently completed her yoga teacher training. Combining her background and interest in nutrition and health eating, positive psychology, and self-care, Sandy empowers her clients to live a more integrated and harmonious life. She offers private and group coaching as well as corporate workshops and wellness trainings. Harvey Block, DMD, FAGD, NMD, IBDM
Harvey M Block, DMD FAGD NMD IBDM graduated from the University of Pitt dental school of medicine. His education truly began after graduation when he met his Office Manager who met the founding father of the IAOMT (International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology!) We felt that was a divinely appointed meeting! It was there that a mentor was found and a relationship formed. Dentistry is truly in his genes and worked in his Uncle's dental practice! He formed that inherited expertise, formal education and has now become a Biological Dentist due to that mentoring! By developing a balance of these scientific disciplines, he can be more complete with you as an individual patient as a biologic entity!
Jeffrey P. Mustovic, RPh
Compounding Specialist, Owner of Evans City Apothecary
Inspired by the traditional corner drug stores of his youth, pharmacist Jeffrey P. Mustovic is dedicated to providing a professional level of care that combines modern medications and conventional pathways with diet, lifestyle and nutritional supplements. As the owner of Evans City Pharmacy since 1989, Jeffrey believes that today's pre-packaged, one-size-fits-all mentality has led people to expect less than they deserve. "Most of the work that I do now was occurring back when pharmacy was more of an art; more of a science as far as tailoring things to somebody's needs and working closely with doctors in the informal setting of actually helping people," he explains.
